The reason we do not currently support Internet Explorer is because Microsoft stopped releasing security updates and offering technical support on browser. The reason that this is an issue is because all over the insurance industry there are outdated, unsecured, poorly functioning versions of Internet Explorer.
Three reasons why business users should make the switch to Google Chrome:
- Security: Without critical browser security updates, your PC may become vulnerable to harmful viruses, spyware, and other malicious software which can steal or damage your business data and information. We sell cyber insurance for a reason. There are numerous hacking cases which have been the result of software not being updated.
- Compliance: Businesses that are governed by regulatory obligations should conduct due diligence to assess whether they are still able to satisfy compliance requirements using unsupported software. Insurance is a compliance heaven.
- Lack of Independent Software Support: Many Independent Software Vendors no longer support older versions of Internet Explorer. For example, Office 365 takes advantage of modern web standards and runs best with the latest browser. There are so many companies in a similar boat who simply don’t build things to work with explorer because it is supposed to be dead.
