  • Aluminum Awnings, Siding, Eaves, Doors and Windows Installation
  • Antennae/Satellite Installation & Repair
  • Appliance Repair & Installation 
  • Bricklaying/Masonry (< 2 Storeys, no building envelope remediation)
  • Car Detailing (excluding mechanical work, cruise control or safety systems)
  • Carpentry (excluding envelope remediation, workshop)
  • Fence Construction (Farm use only)
  • Residential Decks
  • Residential Fencing 
  • Flooring (Installation & Removal) – excluding airports, shopping centres, schools, public swimming pools and train stations.
  • Lawn sprinkler system installation (residential only)
  • Locksmiths – excluding alarm system work.
  • Plastering/ Drywalling (wall and ceiling) including acoustical.
  • Sign installation (erection & repair) – (< 4 storeys)
  • Window Cleaning (< 3 storeys)

 

The mandatory requirements:

  • Gross revenues up to C$1,000,000
  • Industry experience of 3 years or more
  • No USA exposures 
  • All products must comply with Industry and Government Standards
  • Subcontracted work <30%
  • All provinces except Quebec
  • No claims in the last 5 years
  • No prior Insurance cancellations/non-renewal 
  • Subcontractors to carry a minimum limit of liability (same limits as the Insured) 
  • New Build where the build value is greater than C$1m or there are more than 25 homes built annually.
